Our History

Hypotec was founded in 2004 in California. We set out to create a mortgage company that did things differently; one that would not entice customers into loans they could not afford or abandon them and point fingers when things get tough. And thus, Hypotec was born.

Since that time, we have grown when other companies have folded. We created a business that is healthy in both its fundamentals as a money-making institution and in what it gives back to its employees and clients. We set out to innovate in a world of conservatism, where new ideas are often discouraged. We created a system that relies on no paper, no faxing, and no emails, simplifying the process of obtaining a mortgage. It is now faster and simpler than ever before.

Aside from providing a superior product, we also provide superior service. We listen to our clients' needs, explain the loan options to them, and provide an unprecedented level of transparency. We are changing the way the mortgage lending business is done, and our clients appreciate it.
